Update?

I recently bought a 1959 RE. I have never been so pleased (ok, when I bought Tornado).

Keep the Electra! Don't let me be the only Electra owner on here. Seriously if it runs well why swap it for something that has the same 'looks' or has similar performance? If you fancy a change you just have to do what all us bikers do :- Follow your Heart and don't listen to your Head and get what you want (but you must have done that anyway when you bought the Electra)!

Or keep the Electra, AND buy summat else,,,,,,,,,,,, Seriously, you don't need to spend a fortune to have a fun bike, I bought a 25 year old Transalp 600 with 50k on the clock for under a grand and it's brilliant! In truth, it could well be the only bike I need, but where's the fun in that? Maybe there's a bike from your past that you miss? Or maybe one you wanted but never bought? There's lots of good cheap bikes out there, why not spend a couple of hours searching through the cheaper end of ebay,,,, just for research of course,,,, but you never know what might take your fancy?

Now as others have said, dont go selling the electra. I have on the same age as yours and wouldn't consider selling because of its age. Im lucky enough to have a couple of Bmw's as well. When Im out and about the Enfield is the weapon of choice. I picked up an 02 plate f650cs up last year with less miles on it than my Enfield and use that if I want to get somewhere a bit quicker. Go on splash out on another bike you know you want to. The f650cs was cheaper than the Enfield as well
