I have to ponder the vibration question. Do Enfields vibrate that badly? Yeah OK, the first one I ever rode (an early 500) vibrated so badly, that it almost shook out my fillings. On the other hand, my Lightning is really smooth. Even cruising at 60mph, the reflection in the mirrors is perfectly clear. How bad is 'bad vibration'? My indicators are the Home Market rubber mounted ones (Hell, the whole bike is Home Market). So what are we blaming here? Poor quality of the components or the vibration of the engine? From where I'm sat, the first Enfield I rode had a badly balanced crank. The only quality issues I've had since then is the poor quality of the Indian chrome. Enfields: A bit of a Lottery.
