Totally impractical, as shown (builder run out of money for chainguards/mudguards ?). Pointless alteration to rear suspension and seat......but another to be enjoyed on a really wet, dark night. Then, at least, you wouldn't suffer the shame of being seen with it........

Alan you are a man after my own heart! Tangiential Madness is the ONLY way in this health & safety and political correct nightmare we live in... apologies if I have upset anyone who has very rigid tastes (and expectations) from motorcycles! Now I know why they have a blanket on those scooters :)
However - I did threaten to post a picture of an Enfield and here I present one called Slow Poke:

Hi guys-------ALAN HITCHCOCK !! just what have you been up to lately in that shed at the bottom of your garden ???..... Looking at the lack of silencing I think "Loud & Proud" is a better name to adopt... Minimalistic---(easy for you to say)----and as Dick Emery might have said}--- Ooo! you ARE awful--- but I like you !!!

All of them are hideous particularly the BMW which is the anti-Christ of café racers, which in their purer form are slim nimble aerodynamic and good looking, oh and forward leaning riding position. German bikes are not natural bases from which to emulate a Brit café. The girls are slim but somewhat unnatural as well.

It'll be fine when you get the mudguards and seat back on.

I really like both bikes, shows what can be done without throwing loads a money at it. But there again I just hate polished up bikes.
