Hello again Johnny I think I may be able to answer the last question when cold no prob clutch clears very easily but when hot drags like my mother in laws arse .As before feel free to come up and play with an electra clutch and lets see what the problem is coz Im not sure. I do think there is something to do with the length of travel of the pushrod as well as the possible flexing of the last plate in so my solution in a week or two will be to remove said plate weld a ring around the end plate inside the springs and to fill in the inside surface where the pushrod sits then machine it level on the lathe . just in case flexing of the plate is responsible . This is just the same as the flexing cover on earlier models but at the other side of the system .

From personal experience, before you try dismantling major parts of the bike and putting them back together with three nuts and four washers left on the floor, try the obvious.

Adjust the clutch cable and or the clutch actuating arm to ensure that you're fully disengaging. The slightest amount of drag will make neutral an impossibility.

My neutral goes into hiding as the clutch cable stretches and an eigth to a guarter turn on the cable adjuster always restores normal service
