CJ, I’ve played around with the cam position and when positioned incorrectly even with the gentlest of dabs on the brake lever and with the wheel rotating after being spun by hand the drum lining lifts one of the shoes up by the pivoting end of the shoe and everything locks solid. Even with the wheel spinning slowly the transfer of energy that can lift the swing arm up over an inch against the suspension springs is also almost enough to roll the bike off the centre stand. Easy to imagine the forces involved when the wheel is rotating at road speed and then locks solid. [br] .

I think there may be some rubbish quality brake shoe springs out there, easily permanently stretched during fitting shoes. I fitted some stronger ones from my junk box, seemed to solve similar problems both front and rear.
