Well the crate certainly looks like it's made in India !! I see now someone has put bid on it. Trigger or Del Boy?.

the crate could well have been made in india ,i know that watsonian squire transport bikes in steel stillages just like triumph althought the rocket 3 comes in a flimsy box crate with the front wheel out making it a pig on the forks of a fork lift

Could be for real, I know a chap down here who imported a domestic model from the middle east (it was cheaper by a couple of hundred bucks than the export model) only to discover that it had no compliance plate and was therefore unregisterable in NZ. It can be pulled down for parts or re exported. Not a happy chap!

I had a frame sent to me from NZ a few years ago and when it arrived it was brand new. This made me suspicious and as my son lives in Auckland he did a check on the frame number and it is happily running around NZ, so a new frame was obviously purchased through somebody and this then legitimised the bike they had and those numbers stamped onto their frame, possibly one of those grey imports.
