Hi Walter, I had the same problem with CN 2 years ago trying to add my Connie to my policy. They had never heard of a constellation so put it down as a Triumph T120. After numerous emails back and forth (phone calls were costly having to wait in a queue every time) they eventually decided to refer to it as a Royal Enfield on the policy. Tried other companies online but it seems the Connie is not on the main database. You should be able to get insurance there are quite a few Connie around on the road. Best of luck.

Footman james for me. Had to claim for agreed value last year on my 1960 super meteor. No quibbles paid out within 8 days and my premium has only increased by £30 for this year.

I had two good years with carole nash. when your insurance is due, ring them, ask for a quote for your bike(s), and they give you a much lower quote than the renewal! Go with that!

I was with Carole Nash for many years when Carole and her Son ran it, after then the premium hike tried on every year which really peed me off, the people on the phone didn't have a clue, I added a BSA B32 the certificate arrived naming it a BSA ball bag, I kid you not, that bike was then named Scrotum until I sold it. Peter James have been my preference for the past 5 years no premium hikes people you can talk to. I'm happy with that.

Thanks for the input.I have decided to go with Peter James insurers. But I was asked for the value.Can anyone give me a idea where
I might get it valued (I live in Northamptonshire) if this helps. TTFN.

Walter you may get a form from an insurer to fill out to get an independent valuation.
(Even my rat CX500 and sidecar is going up in value.)
A quick google on RE Constellations around 1960, comes back with a £9000 top end (mint) to £6000 bottom end.

With P James they will send you a form to fill in if it's below a certain figure (was £5000) just fill it in yourself send two photos of the bike and job done.
