Bristol calling...any update?
All previous fault codes remain logged in the memory, so if it's any consolation at all you've probably only the cause of the 6.6 and 1.1 codes to be concerned about.

Squealing indicates a dry bearing.
To me that sounds like a gearbox seizure.

Yes it sounds like a bearing, which is why I asked about the oil. Inspecting the oil can often tell you what was going on inside the engine. One silly cause could be something foreign wrapped around the final drive, even a failed rear wheel bearing; just saying the cause may not be immediately obvious. And it takes a serious amount of friction to halt 27 horses.

Only a plain bearing will squeal with pain so that rules out wheels & engine bearings, the oil pump drive would merely quietly shatter.

The o p also state's it wouldn't turn on the kick or electric starter which sounds like engine seized.

Evening all, just a quick up date, so the mechanic Discovered that
the sprag bearing had fallen to pieces and the sprocket was damaged so
So I had them replace however he has discovered that the starter motor
Is not functioning correctly, he has told me that it is spinning the wrong way,
He tested all electrical connections and all is correct.
But the bike starts fine on the kick start so I am going down to pick the
Bike up tomorrow as it starts fine and I can live with kicking it over

But if anyone has any info about the starter motor that would be
Appreciated thanks

I may be wrong in this case but last time i heard of this problem it transpired that someone had stripped the starter motor to inspect and had reassembled the casing end cover 180 degrees out..

Has to be that the brushes have been reversed..

I've done that and you are absolutely right, it does run backwards.
