That registration would make a good personal plate for Mrs B.W., but not at that price and having now seen it, no way is it a 1971 model, even by genuine Indian standards. Regards, Paul.

Whatever it is or isn't, anyone who parts with £2750 for a '71 350 needs medication. There's also a 2006 Tornado on Gumtree for £2,700 - one with equally low mileage went for £1200 about 8 weeks ago.

He all but says it was used by a little old lady to drive to church on Sundays. Polished every week yet ridden only 200 miles by three owners. A blind family perhaps? Where do these people dream this stuff up? My bros got an Indian 350 from the 70's and whilst they were quite well made (compared with the early 90s anyway) they had quite a low finish with a stenciled logo on the tank with Enfield only not Royal at that stage. I remember seeing them at LJ Gouldings in Auckland who were also the suppliers of bits for Bradford Vans (a nasty addiction Ive since overcome) They had 350 Bullet in a mustard yellow and a 350 two stroke twin in red. Not sure they sold many but my bros would have been kne of them as it has been registered in NZ since 78.

As all suspect, next to nothing on that bike is from 1971. The swingarm pivot is correct for the year, and that would be about it?

There's another suspicious 'Royal Enfield 350 Bullet Classic Motorcycle 1950' turned up on Uppa Gumtree. Llater in the ad it says its a 1955 but still the wrong frame (wider s/a didn't come in until 1956 with G2 model), wrong tank, wrong rr no plate mounting, very strange nacelle. . . . caveat emptor!
