for info - I can now see the pic in the first post perfectly well with Firefox 42.0 (43.0 as of just now) after it refreshed. Before refreshed it was showing the caveat link message.

What publication was the pic in?

The caption says, "London, England, U.K." where a british publication of that time would just have said, "London" or "Earls Court" (if it was there).

Unfortunately, after more research, I have no idea what publication. Anyone know?

Apologies if the pics disappeared for a day or so, as I changed their title on my site and forgot this post, so have now duplicated them.

Bit advanced and very flash and it really is Kevin!

&ltaudio autoplay&gt

&ltsource src="http://gpoclocksystems.byethost22.com/misc/kevin 2.mp3" type="audio/mpeg"&gt

Your browser does not support the audio element.

&lt/audio&gt

Make a small sound file, either mp3, or ogg and upload it somewhere. (that's the difficult bit, having a server or finding a place that takes sound files as tinypic won't)

In the code above, exchange the bit in the second line from http through to .mp3 for the url address of your sound file. Violin, as the french say!

How it works...

First line is start of audio command,
second line is url to find the sound file,
third line is text that is only printed if the browser does not have the audio command,
forth line is end of audio command.

It's a bit tricky to get right, but neat when it works!

Let me know if you want to learn funny text!
Really funny text!

Jefrs, the soundcloud link only takes you to the page for the tune, you need to be able to get a direct url which ends with .mp3 or .wav or.ogg

your code worked, it found the url so did not display the error text, but it didn't find a playable tune.

easy way to check is to copy the whole url, and paste it into the browser's url bar, the tune should play if working. For instance, if you take
http://gpoclocksystems.byethost22.com/misc/kevin 2.mp3
copy it and paste into the url line of your browser, it should play the sound and thus check that the tune is at least uploaded and the url is correct

It's just hard finding somewhere to actually be able to upload a tune and get a direct url for it.
