My fuel light packed in a long time ago. Measured over 15000 miles my Electra EFI does 78mpg reliably in mixed and reasonably enthusiastic riding (for an Enfield), so an easy 200 miles on a tank with a couple of litres to spare. Filling up every 200 makes it easy to track without a trip meter. I don't know how you guys get 90 mpg - you must go so slowly!

Jack the Lad - I get 89mpg on a run at 60-65mph cruising and overtaking pushing it up to 70+. I have a 20T front sprocket on my C5 and although that looses a bit of top speed (about 3-4 mph) and makes the acceleration sluggish the payback is relaxed, vibe-free cruising and better mpg.

Do bear in mind that my low mileage comes from rarely getting into 4th for very long and rarely 5th, with very few roads to 'cruise' on.

Jeff.
