Thanks for all the excellent advice, good to see others having similar issues which means its not just my paranoia! As an ex Harley/BMW/Moto Guzzi owner the Enfield is proving to be a little more hands on (yep,even more than my Harley!). Selecting neutral whilst rolling seems to be the key, but neutral light is definitely a law unto itself...Trial bars, single seat and small screen on the way...Amal carb on the wish list (when money permits). Question, I understand standard header pipe is restricted with inner pipe - can this be removed or is the hosts replacement (Stage 2) pipe the only viable alternative? So many questions

Inner pipe is spot welded in, you should be able to cut it free.
