Jonesy, 08 with a 4 speed must have been the last of them, so do you know when the factory started putting oil in them instead of grease.I assume it is a left shift 4 speed?

I've got straight 50 in my 92 four speed box and it shows no signs of leakage, which reminds me it might be time to check it!

I have a classic 4 speed with new bearings ( inc bronze lay shaft bearings and scrolled floating inner steel bush ), oil seals and felts and the pathetic gear change shaft O ring, all filled up with pure 00 grease mixed with engine oil at 20% no leaks after some epoxy glue ( blob ) over the selector pin bush screw at the back of the gearbox ..it weeps not .

Well pride as they say comets before a fall and so I have to admit that my bragging about no oil leak was because my gearbox was pretty much empty! Topped it up this arvo along with a change of carb slide to a number 3 to see if that will defeat my flat spot.
