Hi MORGY (Har-Har)-------------- BOTH !!!! I'll go and invest (that's a much better word) in one of those "irritating" plugs tomorrow. Ride safe.

Alan,
Hope you aren't dissapointed with you investement, never had a lot of joy with iridiums in Enfields. My Inter was unrideable with them and it has a new Pazon ignition system fitted, so spark is good, plugs bloody awfull. I have some new ones here I would send to you but postage is worth more than a plug

Hi Alan. Have you tried your new plug yet? I fitted one of these magic plugs 8 months ago, and the first thing that I noticed was that the tickover changed - it increased considerably. I had to weaken the mixture and lower the throttle stop to restore normality. Since then, first kick starting and a steady tickover, so obviously the plug achieved something.

Hello WINKIE ---- ah! a fellow humorist, goody gumdrops!!!! Go onto the "Bikes for sale" thread and look for Bryan H selling----it's that one. The photos I've received look very good indeed and so this is destined to be kept in all it's original glory whilst "Betty" becomes the all-weather, night-fighter and shopping bike. It already has MrH's scramble bars fitted plus lots of other goodies. I've decided to sell-off all the other bikes currently residing in Chez Gara'ge and stay with the 2 Bullets. This way I have 2 bikes with the same gearchange, spares etc PLUS I achieve marital harmony to boot.( Theoretically)

Alan,
Does this mean fact you have finally accepted that God meant the shifter to be on the right, that I can throw out all the info and bits I gathered for you to convert an Albion. Glad to hear you were able to adapt and you will feel better for it.

Hi NORM -----------Well, I suppose you could say that I've been attacked on three fronts and have bowed to the inevitable. a)----Most of the guys I ride with are BSA or Norton "Big Singles" owners thus the Classic Japanese bikes didn't really fit in. So I've decided to thin the fleet down a little. b)----- I'm getting used to riding "Betty" now and decided that IT will be the general-use machine ---including fitting all the upgrades, single seat, scrambles handlebars, panniers etc. whilst a second bike ( to be kept in absolute standard "Classic" trim ) would supplement it during the Summer months, go to shows etc. c)----- SHE approves of less bikes. This way I only have 2 bikes--both fully interchangeable and both with the SAME gearchange. It was that change from one type to another that I personally found difficult, if not dangerous at moments of instinctive re-action. Besides--- you just can't beat the sound of us four, all on 500cc 4-stroke singles, blasting through a sleepy Sunday morning village !!! ROCK-ON, TOMMY !!! OHHH, dear, time for my Camomile tea again, I think. YES Norm, you're right-- I DO feel better for it. Sorry about all that info. but thanks for pointing me back onto the path of enlightenment.
