Phil, we have a third set of rings that have arrived from Ace that will be put in shortly, if these don't work we will ditch the Ace piston and fit an Accralite

Hello Devon John,
I have been running a 612 for many years with just regular maintenance and no problems, I think I was one of Alan's first 612 customers, so it is about 10 years old now. Cruising at 80mph should be comfortable. This summer I had a European trip covering over 3500 miles which included many straight fast roads and plenty of twisting Alpine roads. It preformed faultlessly unlike my friends Triumph. It is expensive but has bags of torque and top end and worth every penny.

ah mr Turner good to here from you , now thats what i wanted to read .
as i sead from the start of the thread i wanted feed back from owners of these converted bikes.
i no its not a cheap job but the finish product is not a expenive bike.
i have allowed around £3000 to complete the bike i have that cost me £1000 this is still much cheaper than a new enfield.

John, you will be amazed at the difference in quality when you put the Hitchcocks crank beside the factory one and yes the Hitchcocks one is the better one lol.
