On a 1998 Bullet you will need both front and back brake light switches and unless it is a single seat off road bike it will need indicators.

I have tried to wire the bike back up today and im getting further and further away from it when i put the distributor wire (black/white) to the neg- pole of the coil it started to smoke so iv now taken it off again i dont think now that i will be able to continue with it as its causing me great stress it seams every time i do a bit im getting further into trouble with it its so crazy this all started to go wrong after i chopped the stock switches off as cazy as it my sound so now i fear i will have to rewire it from scratch but a new harness will have all the wires i dont need any more plus all colours dont tally up with wiring diagram this is common iv been told do any one know how to rewire it please it has a boyer power box fitter too. many thanks

Hi john i was told that if all indicators were taken off including all wires and switches it was road legal im not sure about a front brake switch iv never come up to this one befor cheers

Hi Gary, you either stop now and listen to what I say, and it will be a one step at a time because if you listen to 2 people you will only become totally confused. It is quite simple but you have to listen closely to every move. And if you are going to have to fit a front brake switch it will require 4 wires run from the headlight shell to the battery area

Hi All I am going to wire up the lights as a seperate harness to the main wires can any body please tell me how i can wire the lights up to a 3 position light switch ans a dip/horn switch also i need to know there the two coil wires + - go to from the coil and where the wire from the points go to i have a boyer powerbox fited to the bike does any one know where these 4 wires go to i have 4 wires coming from the alternator i need to know where the wires go many thaks Gary

Hi Does any one know where i can get a wiring diagram for my 1998 350 enfield bullet indian new delhi import, i have tree wiring diagrams and they are all different and each one showing three wires comming from the alternator mine has four wires and the coil is also wired different in each diagram to other wires ie cut out switch, its so frustrating as there are a few wires stopping my bike being on the road and without the correct diagram im stuffed I have Norm kindly helping me to rewire the bike via email he is a great guy with a lot of know how but i will need a correct diagram for my bike for any future electrical work and to keep close check on what Norm is telling me if i had a correct diagram we can cross reference with the diagram Many thanks to you Norm

Whitey, stop trying to complicate matters, forget about the alt and coil wires, they are the last thing you need to connect. Forget the existing loom it is pretty much destroyed but unless you can solder and heatshrink the wires you are only going to go around in circles. Forget about a wiring diagram it isn't going to help now. I can easily explain every wire to you but you can only repair it now with solder and heatshrink, the damage has been done
