I own a military WDC
Well, it was a WDC and now it has a WDCO engine fitted.
I ride a selection of old bikes but it was just way too slow for even A road use. So slow, that I pushed it to the back of the garage and left it for ages (until I got a WDCO engine and fuel tank). I realise there are slower bikes out there but I like to actually ride about (in the rain and winter and everything).

The engines pop up all the time for not alot of money, but other bits are a bit rare.

If yours is complete then it's worth a punt at the right price ......

Thanks Gents, it may be the right price, we'll see! I know performance is poor, I have ridden one so know what they can (and can't) do. I've also thoroughly read the section in the British Military Motorcycles book which is pretty clear on it's deficiencies! I will let you all know in the fullness of time...

Just to add to the ideas I built a WDC replica using, amongst other things, a 'modern' Electra X engine, a 1950's frame, girder forks and built a WW2 style sidecar and if I knew how to post a photo I would show you what it looks like!

Hi guys--------- WELL !! GRAHAM old friend, you learn quick with the photos, I'll give you that !!--- So I best get a move on with my own humble offering I think......What's the regimental marking then ? (white over red square) The nearest I can find is the Parachute lads ---- and I can't quite see a sidecar being air-dropped in those days......It took me a fair while before I "saw" the 5 speed box as well.....Very nicely done indeed...Plenty of room in the front of the sidecar for a PIAT and a Browning Heavy MG ( That'll give those Ural Army boys something to think about as they go backwards !!).---------
