sofiaspin - "20 years ago people would have stopped - not today" but be honest, would YOU have stopped for a broken-down HD rider ? Only tool I carry on the Bullet is a plug spanner which needless to say has never been needed. Only carried a mobile phone for the very first time this year, too....... where's your sense of adventure ?

Hi Guys----yep, mine went last year and my mates' Bullet 65 went early this year.. I've fitted on of those German PVL ones---seems ok so far !! ( I just KNOW I'm going to regret saying that !!!)------ I have a few old 2-lead ones from my Honda days.. Must give them a try ??-------- I think all HD riders are "Broken Down", that's why they ride an HD in the first place !!

On a club ride, one of the bikes had a torn-out valve stem in the rear tyre; caused by the 18 front 28 rear pressure stated in the handbook, instead of 32- 36 in the workshop manual, a Harley rider stopped to help, and stayed until a new tube was fitted.

I have heard of few if any Electra coils failing but that doesn't stop me from carrying one because you need the small coil to fit up inside under the tank
