Hi guys ------------ I look back at the '70s with a sense of RELIEF !!!----that they've gone, mainly !!...I have 2 big 1970's Hondas'..a CB750 Hondamatic and a GL1000 Goldwing, both with 12v electrics, electric start, disc brakes, spares readily available....BUT, I also have 2 Classic 500 Bullets, just to give me something to do....

I don't want Crusader to get too exercised by an image of a 2004 500cc Bullet being caned at full throttle in hot pursuit of a Triumph Rocket 3. This was not the case. The Rocket 3 chap and I were chatting, he bemoaning the weight of his behemoth and praising the Bullet, me saying it was a blast. He and his mate were cruising along at 55mph behind a truck, so I slipped briefly into third then fourth and wafted past, waving as you do. It was just a nice juxtapositioning of dated technology passing the world's most powerful production motorcycle, that is all, and a laugh.

Hi Paul yes most things are legal in Scotland and our First Minister would be proud that an Enfield Bullet ripped past a Triumph Rocket 3, but I have a Velo Clubman and that hunts down Harleys for some reason - joking aside I have had 3 Triumphs, modern ones, and the Enfield is the best. I would happily get another, or three.
