Well I'll have to change my options and check all the ignition wiring , no visible spark !!!
Carb was cleaned twice "normal" way with compressed air and third time with carb cleaner spray and compressed air .
So carb or ignition?
That's a "stuck in the workshop" week-end coming up......

Do you have a 12 volt battery, if so disconect the + to the coil, conect the battery to this and see if you have spark. If you have spark problem is wiring, if not problem is with Boyer

----------- just a thought but what HT coil is fitted ? Not one of those Indian "Lucas" jobs ?? Mine failed whilst on a local club ride last year with no warning at all... One min going along fine, suddenly a couple of mis-fires and it cut out...Later, back at the Ponderosa I fitted a PVL German unit and all's well again.....Try NORM's test first, but if you don't get a spark then try another coil before condemning the Boyer....

Thanks for those new lesds , I have a PVL coil , but I'll try Norm's test and eventually fit a new coil as the symptoms are near the ones I had when the Lucas coil failed....
Pouring with rain so nice we to stay in the workshop

OK, went back to the workshop with a clear head , before doing Norm's test , had a look at the spark plug ; no visible spark , fitted it back , started after second kick but stopped after a second ; checked the spark plug : wet with petrol .Logical issue : spark is not strong enough , so I'm ordering a new PVL coil ....more news in the next episode!!!

Latest news: bike started without the choke ....holds it's idle , acceleration fine BUT when I cut the throttle after "blipping" I have a very nice flame coming out of the exhaust!!!Reminds me of the Le Mans racing cars at night but doesn't seem very appropriate on a 350 Bullet!!!!
How could my carb be too rich after running fine so long??Is it possible to have an issue with the choke letting to much petrol pass ,a kind of leak, wich would explain why I drown her with it even on cold start and then have to much petrol coming in when running.....???

Have you tried my first post? If the fuel level is to high (needle valve not working properly) it should overflow if you leave fuel tap on after an hour or two.

Well I'm now quite sure that she is far to rich , as she starts without the choke , when on the spark plug is wet with petrol , and then I have nice blue flames coming out of the exhaust when I cut the throttle.
Two possible reasons for this: either carb to rich , that's why I thought maybe the choke (not the float needle , that's ok) wasn't closing properly , or the coil is dying , this happened 4 yearsago when I got the bike , she was difficult to tune until I changed the coil for a new PVL one.I'm inclined to think that's the reason of her bad behaviour as there is no nice visible spark.Anyway I'll know definitely when I receive my new coil.
I'll keep you posted on the outcome as it could solve other's problem.

Any new ideas??
Carb cleaned once again , new coil and still the same : cuts after a second if I start her with the choke on , after a few tries with the choke she will start without it ....
I've tried starting without the choke and air filter masked 90% , same problem...
Could it be something to do with the exhaust valve?
No funny noises when she runs ....
Thanks for any advice , this is really maddening and opening of the racing season is getting nearer every day.....
