Hello group

The bike is a 1995 500cc bullet with a mikcarb, so sticking a fuel filter might negatively affect the fuel line and cause other problems??

Thanks

Hi guys,------------ PAT, that photo is my 2005 Classic 500 with an uprated Mikcarb VM28 and the filter does not detract the performance or cause any other problems...JAFFA--that's an Indian Home Market fuel tank and, as the tap came already fitted I'm assuming it's also an Indian item...The lever is shown in the "off" position, with "on" being straight down and "Res" when facing forwards....

Hello GRUNDA, ------------ Yes, diesel fuel filtering is a whole lot more vital than petrol (carb type)... I spent many years with our good friend, the CI engine ---- RN, Brit.Rail. GPO, ( that dates me !!) MoD, plus running the Marine Eng. Dept. for the local Sea Scouts...After working on any diesel fuel system ALWAYS wash your hands several times because if you should clap them --------- you might start-up !!!

Hello JAFFA90, ------ the only tap that I know of with a horizontal outlet ie @90 degrees is shown on page 181 of the catalogue, and that's the Karcoma model (141209)--- BUT it has a FEMALE thread of a smaller diameter than the other taps...You might need an adaptor..

Hey group…it might sound silly but after installing the filter, fuel is not running down into the filter and then into the carb ....it seems that air has been trapped into the filter
Any ideas???
Thx

Is the in-filter in a vertical position and the correct way up? Does it have a directional arrow stamped on it?
