Yes, it is in the tradition of "Whodunnits" with Midsomer Murders, in that the murders don't really matter as much as they do in real life. The Island is probably just as much a fantasy location as "Midsomer" is as well, though I can't claim to know the Carribean, more's the pity. "Silent Witness" it ain't. You just have to suspend a bit of disbelief and accept that the Englishman can survive the tropical heat in a suit and tie, that any police force in the world would find a Watsonian combo a sensible purchase and that a serving police officer would pout and wiggle her bum like the FBA during working hours.
That achieved, you can enjoy the plot, performances (I like that big guy with the deep voice who is Mr Makuti in the Kenco ads). All good fun and doesn't take itself too seriously.

Hi guys----------- filmed in Guadeloupe, part of Leeward Islands in the Caribbean, the actor with the deep voice is Don Warrington (Rising Damp)....Yes, I agree with JOHN R (no relation!!) if you approach it with a little tongue-in-cheek ( now there's an opener for someone !!)---it's not so bad..And there's no truth to the rumour that our hosts have opened a Bermuda outlet based on their profit margins--- or is there ???

Plots? Are there plots in it? How can anyone concentrate on a plot when the FBA is on screen???
