John L, its a Redditch frame. They were still being sent and used in India in the early 60's even though our home 62 Bullets had the post 55 style without the downtube.

Thank's to all who have contributed here. I now like to think that my frame a Redditch one and that the current 500 engine may hav come into it later on. That is no problem for me. I'm not unhappy with maybe having a bike that has been made up from two or more others.
I bougt from Madaan Motors several years ago and I had no problems with Madaan. I have seen som articles on the Internet which tells other stories about this company, but myself and two other "boys" imported totally three bikes without other problems than a loooong waiting period.
My project goes on and for the time beeing I'm trying to improve the output from the engine. New RE 15 big end and high compression piston along with racing cams will be nice I think. I also will install high capasity oil pumps to ensure that the heat will be handeled. The winter is long here i Norway so there will be plenty of time to do some wrenching.

Terje, its worth joining the REOC and sending the frame and engine numbers in. They should be able to shed light on the history of both.
