Hello MARK M and thanks v.much for the compliment....The measurements are such that with the adjuster at MIN. setting, the bottom shroud is inside the top one by approx. 2"-------This will be more than enough to accomodate full deflection....My other main interest in life (non-biological, bi-ped, female that is !!) is steam locomotion----and railways in particular.. For a very long time I was regularly involved at the Severn Valley Railway machine shop but nowadays design, build or renovate 5" gauge live steam locomotives........One of the many useful "Contacts" from this is "Model Engineers Laser" run by a chap called Malcolm High at Doncaster. Take a look at this }--------------- http://www.modelengineerslaser.co.uk/ ---------------- Incidentally, the "Washers" sizes are for this type only, the Armstrong units do vary slightly...Apart from the laser cutting, all work was done by hand and Mk1 eyeball..The "washers" arrived in the post this morning at 09.00 and the results you see here done by about 2pm..------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AND HERE'S "THE BOSS" ie PUSS-PUSS(the brave) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------Image -----------------------------------------------
