i,ve tried for about 10 years to come up with a good strong foot rest set up for off road use and what i have come up with is a sort of honda c50 arrangement which is pretty much a bar with a foot rest welded to either end and then bolted to the underside of the frame rails just below the gearbox ,i used to bend or snap a foot rest on every meeting ,but with this setup still going strong after 2 years ,quite a lot of welding and fabricating involved though and probable wouldn,t work with a standard exhaust
