Hi Crusaderman,
This is a common problem with the 250 range, especially on kickstarting. You have the later 3 plate clutch, get a 6 spring conversion for it and possibly fit 6 heavy springs, but you will want to fit a decent lever at the handlebar to make it easier for your hand.

What about just fitting 3 heavier springs, not like it is going to slip with that big thumping 250cc's of power. Is the clutch adjusted correctly?

Hi guys --------- "Confused of Shropshire" calling !!..........STEVE HUNT & CRUSADERMAN }--- To Circulate or Not to Circulate--- aye, that is the question !! I've not heard of an engine design that puts engine oil through a primary drive---the requirements are very different. (Now don't start me off about the Mini car etc---this is bikes we're talking here). If, as I suspect you have a dry sump system then the oil def. can't be in the primary as well----------or can it ?? "Confused" even more now.

Hello Alan R,
The engine oil and primary oil are all one in the Crusader range. The oil after feeding the rockers drops into the cams and then into the primary and then finds its way back to the oil tank. The sump is a dry sump, the same as the Bullets. Learn something new every day!

Hello CHEVY, and thanks for that "enlightenment"....One of my aims when I retired recently WAS to try and learn something new or different each day....That certainly fits the bill !!! Odd, though. Are there any other bikes with that set-up that anyone knows of ??
