As Bryan says.. No special tools needed... Footrest rod or Domestic central heating Radiator valve hex tool used for TRV / Lock-shield, will do. It takes about 45 mins to the job properly so why cut & glue your fingers !! Anyway if you have metal shrouds, you will need to take out fork tubes... have fun.
