Just for kicks and giggles when you have time I would be interested to know if the yellow wire will power the headlight switch. If you disconect the A/C regulator and put power into the loom from the alternator end I think it should power the switch. I have a 2004 here but it has no forks, so no headlight and the wiring loom has been all modified because we are building it into a cafe racer with minimal of everything on it so it is a bit hard to check
