I charged battery up all night it was showing 12.7 v on my meter but this morning the battery was showing 11.2v and that wasn’t even connected to the bike

Worth checking the frame earth behind the battery box while you're in there. Clean off any corrosion and give it a smear of vaseline/silicone grease after reassembly.

Not yet I have no experience in how to check it out do I need a special tool or take it somewhere ?

Not at all, all you need is a multimeter.(about 10 pounds at any hardware store)
Select DC 0-20V scale, and measure between the puls and minus on the battery with the bike running.
A little throttle and voltage should raise to -ideally- 14,4V (lights of).

If it gets a lot higher, the regulator is broken and if nothing else happens, check the genny output and connections.
