I am having a few problems with the carb giving an over rich result. Very sooty black dry plug readings. The carb is a UCAL Mikuni SB on my 2005 Royal Enfield Electra X. I wish to check the float height. The workshop gives a figure of 17.1 mm and a rather confusing diagram, could someone please tell me how to measure the float height, what the reference points are? The carb is clean and the needle on the lowest position (bottom groove of the three grooves from the top of the needle. Another option I assume is to lower the needle?
