2006 Bullet 350 with 30,000 miles on the clock, currently having a bit of a fettle including repainting rusty bits. Rear shocks have some flaking paint and rust, at least two of the bushes could do with replacement. But if I'm going to need to replace them in another 5,000 miles I don't think I'll bother.

So how many miles might I expect from the standard shocks? I'm 85+ kg and I do work them quite hard.

Ages. Mine must have done 70k miles and while tatty, they were still working ok when removed. Bushings were done though. I BET I've given mine a harder time than yours. I'm 115kg and I often ride it on unmetalled roads. It's usually fully loaded up with luggage too.

I replaced mine with some cheap Chinese ones that were a bit longer and had some more preload adjustment on them for when I fit my trailer.

"How long do shocks last on a Bullet?"

That depends on how fast you can get your leg untangled from the plug lead when it pops off! Ouch!
