It is possibly a good idea to read the previous posts?. The actual thread has been cut a 1/4 inch short other than that is screws in OK.

Tracy tools don't sell a 1.3/8" 26tpi die anymore and to get one specially made was going to cost 150gbp...not very cost effective.. might have to have a rethink on what to do! (Can't find any other dies online)

It should be possible to screw cut the extra length of thread on a lathe. It does take care but is it possible.

Another option would be to see if another set of stanchions from a different source might be cost effective, though I would be considering whether losing 1/6th of the thread is enough to worry about if a set of 1/4" spacers can be sorted. A.

Borrow a thread file with 26tpi and dress the staunchions up with that. If you can get someone to put them on a lathe that will make it easier.
