Are you absolutely sure selling the CGT is the right thing to do? Once it's gone it's gone and it occurs to me that the prospect of riding it again may be beneficial in terms of making a better, speedier recovery. I'd sell the bl**dy pushbike for sure, but I'd think long and hard about ridding yourself of what is obviously a prized possession. I realise that that is a decision only you can make, but when the warmer weather is here and the sun is out and you've made progress in your recovery (maybe better than you think now) you might wish you'd kept it. Just a thought. Good luck with your recovery whatever you decide to do. FWIW I think the price is reasonable but ultimately it's all about finding a buyer who fully appreciates what it is and the care that has been lavished on it.

Isn't it easy to be misunderstood on a message board, I did nothing to say the bike was overpriced, everything is worth what anyone will pay.it may or may not be worth the asking price,in my experience making alterations and fitting aftermarket parts does not normally increase value nor does changing the oil, Nigel was not a long way off and got slated for his input.

I have put my crash helmet on here but, as I am toying with getting a GT, I should say Nigel is bang on in terms of the overall price/year etc. Sad to say, and although it is a lovely machine with sensible mods, it is a 2015 and therefore the price probably needs adjusted down a tad. Lots of red ones out there. The owner does make it clear he is willing to take a decent offer but frankly I would put the bike on ebay and bite the bullet. I tried to sell a rare Woodsman - the last one made - and took a hammering. It cost £5000 and I only netted just over £3k after 18 months. Enfield buyers do not have deep pockets in my experience.

Keep her until the spring.

You might get more interest by then or maybe with luck, you might find a way to ride again?

Beautiful bike.

I'm with Scaly & RB. Wait on a while, things always look darkest in mid winter. Come the spring, warmer weather and the bones feeling better life may well look brighter.
This past two years the Bullet has done more miles in a trailer than on the road and the Flash & a Box has seen very very little use and very local at that. The health thing has been a right bugger. Even now I have little bodily strength although the C thing seems to have been largely overcome, oncologist does not want to see me until next February. There have been times when I wondered if ever I would be able to properly ride them again. I do not spend much time in the garage, I have not done anything with the bikes but they are waiting patiently until such time as I start work getting them ready for use once more. I have set myself a goal of the Belgian BSAOC John Bull Rally end of April with the Flash & a Box. I have at last joined the REOC as another possible way of motivating myself to get fit enough to ride the Bullet again. Motivation? actually more the spirit is sort of willing it is the body that is less so
What all this waffle really means is - hang in there, never give in :)

I am currently having to use a tool box and cruiser lifter to get on and off my "Oilfield," (I have not finished the right hand side project yet.) So I suggest wait and see.

Connected not so much with the bike itself, but the posting method:

I clicked on the photo of the bike, thinking it would make it bigger.
In fact it took me elsewhere and showed a lot of other pictures too. We probably need to be aware it does this, as it might not be a good idea to have all our photos open to the world to see. Particularly number plates, grandchildren and so on. A pity to have to say that, but these days do be careful.

I think if you use Tinypics then it just shows the one you want.

dennis t-c I bought my brand new Conti GT in the Summer of 2016 and paid £4,100 inc OTR costs & 6 mths tax. There's a brand new one at a dealer's on ebay right now at £4,199 - I bet if you rocked up with £4k worth of greenbacks you'd drive it away and benefit from the (very necessary!) 2 yr warranty. There are still lots of unsold early 2015 models (kph speedo) on the dealer's floors and they are probably getting a bit desperate to shift them ready for when (if) the Euro 4 models come in. I still hope Darran does get his sold at the price he wants.
