Well Christmas is upon us and many will be looking online for that special thing, but beware of the clever wording that some use. Below is a list of the most common and what they really mean.


Updated list of ebay terminology...
"RARE" - this item is ten times the price of all the other matching items on ebay today
"L@@K" - Seller lives in the 1990's and thinks this is still cool
"Good for it's age" - a 20 year old item which looks like it has had 50 years of abuse
"UNTESTED" - It smoked more than my grandfather when we plugged it in / we dropped it / we broke it.
"Looks complete" - more than half of it (or the rarest part) is missing.
"BARN FIND" - It's suffered from damp and is either seized solid, rusty or badly corroded.
"Found in Granny's attic" - Granny put it up there because it was broken. You will never get rid of the spiders, smell of mothballs or the general corrosion.
