Morning chaps,
Since. I had the front wheel out of my Electra the brake squeals when used.
Suggestions please!
Cheers

I assume it did not squeal before you took the wheel out?

Could be something stuck on a pad. You have not put a washer in the wrong place on the wheel spindle. Is there a sticking piston in the caliper?

Have you fully tightened the spindle lock bolts on the bottom of the fork tube?

Did you clean the pistons with a hose or brake cleaner before removing the wheel?
If not then this time of year chances are some of the crud on the pistons has been pushed underneath the dust seals which is preventing the pistons from retracting sufficiently to completely clear the disc.

When you refitted the front wheel did you check that an anti squeal shim was fitted between the pad and the piston. If you don't have one smear a small amount of copper grease between the caliper piston and the pad metal backplate, but don't overdo it as you don't want it on the disc

My suggestions:(1) Don't remove the front wheel again; (2) as you have, either don't use the front brake or wear ear plugs.....

Or you could just put s bit of coppaslip on the back of the pads and on the pins.

you assured yourself that the disk sits between the two pads, and not between the pads and caliper pistons?
