Hi all,

Hoping for some expert advice please. Iv'e decided to sell my 1964-registered 500 Meteor Minor, but don't have a current view on its value. Are there any guides I could refer to, for example?

Her condition is pretty good; I can supply photos, orig log book, owners club proof of registration, tax discs, etc. She currently lives in Stafford.

Looking forward to your views.

It's a tricky one, MMs don't come up often. Condition is all important with any bike, pictures would help. Our own Scaleyback of this site will be able to give an opinion as he has recently (ish) bought a particularly nice and original example. And also, where do you intend to sell it? Auction, Ebay, private sale? All of this will make a difference. And, do the engine and frame numbers match the original Despatch Records as held by the REOC? It's a bit of a piece of string question at the moment without more info!

Hi KC,
I have declared my 1958 Meteor Minor as valued at £3000 with my present insurers.
I have heard of them changing hands for that sum, sometimes a bit less, and have seen a few MM's advertised for quite a bit more, but whether they sold or not, I do not know. >br> As pomps says, any chance of a photo on here?
On a slightly different tack, it looks like it is going to be pretty cold at the first REOC Rally of 2016, at Bellingham, we intend going tomorrow whatever the weather! See you all there?

A friend of mine bought one a couple of years ago off e bay for £2500. It's in really good original condition, matching numbers, original reg and log book etc. I think that's a good price for an underrated classic.

Well mine was, damn, forgot but about 4000-4500 i think.

Mind you, it was in showroom condition, and had been in a show a few months before.

Oh good grief, I missed a heartbeat when I first set eyes on it. Oh, it's a De Luxe version with all the bits you can't get, enclosed chain-gaurd, rubber chain channel connectors, a real reference motorcycle, but above all of that, Kevin (as he came already named) usually starts first time, and is a dream to be on.

Very, Very nice Royal Enfields, and mine won't leak a drop. (ok, almost, but only a few drips after a long ride, then it stops!)
