I am a little worried about Kevin the Meteor Minor.
The electrics were changed to 12V and it has points and distributer, and a new regulator for charging BUT...
A per the diagram, everything is live, the rear brake light, main lights, pilots, etc. the only thing that turning the key off does, is to stop the engine.
I am wondering about concealing a battery lead switch, or rewiring the ignition switch? Originality is one thing, but it's no good if you get a short and come back to a burnt out motorcycle!
I will have to check Kevin's wiring as the emergency start doesn't work (a couple of ignition switch wires don't match up with the diagram), but hopefully I can find a 'normally open' pair of contacts in the ignition switch to cut the battery when not running.
BING! That is why it is called an ignition switch!!! It only switches the ignition!!! Must be where the name came from then?
