Adrian it still may be worth contacting them as they may be able to tell you who they supply to.
I have found over the years most companies are helpful when it comes to sourcing parts/material.
I have also found often a part I think is unique is used by a wide range companies.
(The voltage regulator/brush unit used on BMW motorcycles being one of them. Used on literally millions of different engines from static engines to huge dumper trucks and as cheap as chips compared to sourcing one from BMW)

Good point. I don't need one at the moment, though when I get around to sorting my '59 350 that might change! If people really want these, it must be worth asking. A.

That is an interesting site. Offering a FOB (free on board) price does suggest that they supply by the ton but who knows. They are rare beasts these because they only really appeared for the last days of magneto equipped motors which was what 1955 to 1960 after which pretty much everything was battery and coil and before which we were prepared to take personal responsibility for advancing and retarding our machines manually.

As an aside on FOB -
Under the Incoterms 2010 standard published by the International Chamber of Commerce, FOB is only used in Sea Freight and stands for "Free On Board", and always used in conjunction with a port of loading. Indicating "FOB port" means that the seller pays for transportation of the goods to the port of shipment, plus loading costs. The buyer pays cost of marine freight transport, insurance, unloading, and transportation from the arrival port to the final destination. The passing of risks occurs when the goods are loaded on board at the port of shipment.

I thought I might have one but when I dug it out it's for an A10. Have you tried all the usual suspects? I suspect an old fashioned phone trawl round the magneto rebuilders and suppliers might be a good place to start. Try the Old Bike Mart online for listings, try those and then come back here for more suggestions! Remember Enfield units are anti-clock and therefore different to the vast majority of units out there!

Thanks for the reminder Mark! I will try to find the guy who many years ago replaced my butchered A10 unit.

Bryan, if it was Mr Price of Huntingdon, sadly he is no longer with us. He did my Meteor distributor and the ATD for my Mk1 Interceptor (which is a very unusual unit) and I have been well pleased with them. Not much help I know!

If its of any help I converted a matchless ATD. Machined off the sprocket teeth, machined the centre out of an enfield mag sprocket and married the two together, its been running well for 2 yrs.
