Hi folks I have Biketech Pro 3 battery charger which is just a cheaper Optimate type charger. it comes with a set of leads that you can connect to your battery permanently it has a plug you can plug into your charger as required to save disconnecting and or removing the battery over winter I have left it connected to my Bandit with no problems it does a bulk charge to fully charge the battery then a maintenance charge as required.
I was thinking of spicing the positive lead into my wiring just after or possibly before may be better as the charger has its own cutout my main fuse which lurks on my 2003 electric start Sixty 5 inside the LH tool bin along with the Starter Solenoid and PAV thingy (technical term!!)And putting the negativity to earth in the same area with a bolt.As there is not a lot of room to add another wire to the battery obliviously like with the Bandit you keep the key out of the Ignition while its connected to the charger!
Question is, is there any electronic reason on a Bullet why I shouldn't charge the battery while its still connected + and neg to the bikes battery and electronics I am happy to do it with my bandit but am on new ground with the Bullet.
