Hi Zippy. Yep, I sure do! I've been doing electricals and electronics for over 40 years. God, that makes me sound old! :-/



Anyway, I think we are arguing about nothing: both options will work fine, and I'm sure Count Johnny has enough information to decide which way to go.

buying a bullet in the first place is creating a whole load of problems that you did not have before.



I say fit the switch and be at one with your ignition!

I admire Count Jonny for sticking to his guns. He is obviously going to make Slo Poke exactly as he envisages the bike to be. I have done the same with Tornado, having just fitted a British Pre Focus headlamp because it looked better to me. Also I now have the advantage of not 'flashing' oncoming vehicles, due to the less distinct dipped cut off line.



So the choices seem to be:-



push for on switch shorting the points

push for off switch for disconnecting the points

length of string tied around the spark plug cap and running up to your wrist


I hope you are able to get it done to the standard that your bike wants!
