It is unbelievable the way it has bent, not the slightest sign of a crack, hardly a mark on it, just a tiny bit of grazing whick a bit of emery paper and polish would remove

Hey, Norm, I wouldn't try to straighten it. Rather, I'd put it on my mantelpiece for people to admire! It's good having your own black museum.....

Straightened out fine, amazing how pliable it was with heat, bit of a clean with emery and a autosol and only somebody who knew would be able to pick it. Thack my museum of broken Enfield conrods and buggered floating bushes and crank pins and buggered flywheels does not need any additional ornaments lol
