My Bollocks aside, I don't see what relevance the load on the bearing has as it's either within specification or not. Lubrication is surely a separate issue. From what I've read cleanliness is the principle requirement in a ball race. They don't actually require lots of oil. Good stoush though!

Simon, nothing wrong with a bit of light hearted banter, as you say cleanliness is important, leave the seal in place.
