Ladies/Gentlemen...... has anyone else had problems with their Micarb float bowl spindle/pin thing? I've had to pull the bowl off and push the spindle back too many times now (it was falling out & causing the float to sit unevenly and not shutting the float valve) so today I used a nail roughly the same diameter as the spindle. Great idea! Until I came to replacing the bowl and realised the nail was not gonna clear the casing.... a quick bend/snip and all sorted. Now I'm confident that the float will float .........

Peter, that's not an improvement, that's a bodge! (grin)
I slightly more elegant bodge would be to squeeze the spindle in a vice slightly to get a bit of ovality which would give you an interference fit.

Thanks Pete - I have to be careful as far as vices are concerned! I've managed to shake most of them off but bodging is the hardest one to give up
