I'm sure all of you guys that have newer bikes and have to pay road tax resent having to do so.
So here's something that might help one day. If you don't sign it won't work though so take the time to do so. https://submissions.epetitions.direc...etitions/48869
See, that did n't hurt at all, not as much as buying a tax disc :)

I'm 100% in agreement Eddie & was happy to sign the petition. I currently pay over £170 per annum just to tax my 2 Enfields & Guzzi which do few miles each year yet the road tax on my wifes car which does over 20000 miles annually is just £20. It is a very unfair tax, as is the heavy rate of licence duty on older, often very economical cars, which those on limited budgets & young drivers have no choice but to use.
I wish this petition every success but I suspect as motorcyclists will always be a minority group with little real voice the government will not want to lose a nice little earner. REgards, Mick.

I think that this tax is a total, total rip off. I happen to own 3 bikes and a car and pay a total of nearly £500 for the privilege, and that's before any one of them has left the drive. I live alone, and nobody else drives or rides my vehicles, so why should I have to pay road tax on all of them? Point being that I can't drive/ride more than one vehicle at once, so to tax the three that aren't being used at the same time as the one that is, is a total injustice. I reckon I do about 5,000 miles a year in total and pay 500 quid, when some car drivers can do as many miles as they like and pay nothing. The tax should be abolished and put on fuel instead, but what chancellor is going to do away with such a nice little earner????
