hi paul the diesel concept is not to all tastes although i,m not sure where you are coming from with rough & slow i had a std 350 bullet and apart from slight acceleration difference the diesel was an equal match my engine is not rough ,i,ve seen the hatz conversion but having had much experience with hatz i,m not a fan the biggest diesel engine ive seen in an enfield was a 850cc ruggerini twin and that was very good alround ,at this years big knock rally there was a guy with a tradesmans box attached to an enfield with the yanmar 406 motor and it pulled very well certainly no slower than a good M20 /M21 SIDECAR TUG ,but ive said this before i,ve done my flying ,and if i did want to fly it certainly wouldn,t be on any enfield atb paul.

This is indeed a terrible shame as I thought the fact it is NOT a Harley is a compelling feature, and draws upon decades of heritage hence in my view it is a great concept. Lottery win and large garage and no problem I would get one, but therein lies the issue I suppose, it is just not mainstream enough.

I can see myself getting involved to at least assemble the bottom ends, but it is going to be hard as there is no manual on the motor and nobody except Paul knows where and what parts he sourced and as he is no longer involved it is going to be difficult. There is no documentation on any of it, Paul kept this to himself

Norm you've probably hit the nail on the head. Anyone looking for long term ownership of a bike wants to know support will be around for years to come.
