Just spent a horrendous amount of money on a brand new Honda, it is truly a beautiful machine to look at and to ride, now the sensible thing to do is sell Bertie to help fund some of this extravagance but the sentimental side of me cannot bear the thought of life without my Bullet, so what do I do, does he stay or does he go, I seriously need help on this one, if you bothered to read this then you may as well answer, honest opinions please ?

Bertie, If you can afford to keep the Bullet do so, otherwise you will be back here in 6 months looking for one, I rode one for the first time on Sat since busting my leg and even though this was a left shift one (busted my left leg) it brought a smile to my face as I tootled around even thought it hurt to change gears

He stays.....He stays.....He stays. Repeat after me....He Stays. Having bought the Hodna why let Bertie go. I don't know how many bikes you have but I still have 8 of my own in my garage. I could/probably will add another this year.

You got to keep it! And MadMike... I wish I had a garage, let alone 8 other bikes!
Having said that, I was watching Jay Leno's series on his collection of bikes - quite impressive.

Hi Tim, I bought a Honda NC700X-DCT (black of course), as I suffer arthritis in my left hand that often makes it impossible for me to use a clutch lever the 6 speed auto box is fantastic, another reason to be rid of Bertie, if anyone knows of an auto clutch or gearbox to fit a Bullet please let me know!...having just returned from the garage looking at him sparkle while polishing him up for the Aylesford friar's show this Sunday it is now getting harder than ever to make up the dreaded for sale sign....
The lovely Lucy Lastic ( please tell me you are a girl ) what ever way this goes expect a tale or 2 coming very soon..

Hi guys--------------is this the "beast" in question ??------ http://www.cycleworld.com/wp-content/up ... TC-ABS.jpg --------------------------------- ye gods !! Doesn't it have a dual clutch system, ABS, auto fault detection, SATnav, microwave oven and plays "God Save the Queen" on Sunday mornings etc ??...So, if you have any sympathy for poor old plain Berties feelings you'll sell him into a good, Bullet-owning family where he can be loved, ridden and appreciated-----not forced to share the same garage with his modern, glitzy usurper....Do the "decent thing" man and sell him,---------------- ASAP !!!

Well Bertie, if you can't even ride the Bullet, then that's surely reason enough to move it on!! Just make sure it goes to a good home :)

I must say I went to have a look at the NC700 myself a few weeks ago and it certainly looks an easy bike to live with....perhaps a little too sterile, though???
