Hi guys------PETER 53...Yes, it was Paul Houghton that I was trying to remember ( I've mis-laid his contact details)... He & I did converse, with me saying I would get back to him when the "Big" exhaust valve was returned from Hitchcocks...which it now is..(To my "Southern brayn" Warrington is Manchester---of a sort !!)-Please give me those details again, then ??--------------- RIGGERS }--- Where's this "Name-in-Lights"?? I can't find it--- Took the bike out again today.It has an 8:1 Accralite forged piston---Tea Caddy filter--VM28 carb to your specs.---cut-back standard silencer and a 19t output sprocket...The dam thing cruises at 60mph in comfort--and ACCELERATES in 4th gear yet poddles around town in 2nd/3rd like a lamb !!------ Good, eh ?? Hi Alan, I don't have the high comp piston, (but maybe one day...), but everything else is pretty much the same as yours. I can cruise at 60ish but at that speed just start to get a bit of excess wind pressure. I much prefer 50 - 55 where I can sit in comfort and let the loonies by on their yxzfff1100RRRRR(S)! By the way I've bumped up my previous reply to you so you should be able to spot it if you're quick. Cheers. Riggers.
