We've enjoyed the Bullet experience so much since buying our existing one at Easter.. but the right hand gear box still screws with my head, especially when I come to use the Honda or Bonnie.. SO.. the Mrs has 'given me permission' to buy a brand new one! Hence.. mine is for sale in the very future.

I have to replace the head gasket before I sell it.. I had to have a new exhaust valve seat replaced a few months ago, which is working great, but forgot to retorque the head bolts after a few miles, hence one worked loose on the run on sunday and blew the gasket. This will be fixed before the sale.

Its a black Bullet 500, 2006 plate, right hand 4 speed box, points ignition, drum brake. Passed MOT 2 months ago no problem at all. It starts easily on the kick. I've spent a fair while polishing the alloy bits, so looks very good with a few minutes of elbow grease. I've replaced the huge standard indicators with chrome mini ones, and the standard exhaust with a short , lovely sounding one. The original is still in the shed. It also came with a RE branded touring screen, which will go with the deal.

I want to take £1700 on her.. recent stuff on eBay is easily reaching this, but I thought I'd offer it to the forum first..

up and running again now.. it IS a simple job to change a head gasket, but bolt head sizes are a little jumbled up! 2 head bolts are 12mm, other 4 are 13mm, and the 4 nuts holding down the rocker assemblies are imperial! ran her up to temp last night, going to re torque bolts at the weekend, then advertise her locally on Gumtree before eBay.

sold for £1600, so I'm going to Grantham to look at a new one tomorrow!

soretd! bought a cream and red Classic, with pillion seat, £4190, brand sparkly new! fetch it in about 2 weeks when DVLA have issued the paperwork etc
