It happens, something goes wrong, you need the money, and then sometime later, you so regret the sale. there is an ebay auction that is actually trying to trace the guy's old bike! I'll just paste...


"As it happens Im trying to locate the specific Enfield, sold in 2006/7 in Darlington. The Registration is NX05 BFJ. As far as i can establish it has been off the road for a few years. If you own or know who owns this bike now please message me and I may sell this photo to them or I could buy the bike in return as it holds sentimental value to my family, it was sold in times of need."

Tis on SORN, if he has "reasonable" cause, DVLA might give him the owners address:-

Little tip if he puts a letter in a stamped obviously unaddressed unsealed envelope for the present owner with the written request to the DVLA he may get a result,
