Decided to put the Woodsman up for sale. Registered in January 2014 I think it was the last Watsonian Woodsman when I bought it. Black and chrome tank. 4200 miles mostly A or B roads. 5 oil and filter changes (far more than the schedule) and always professionally serviced. Avon Roadriders. Hitchcocks trials bars. Goes superbly, 80mpg. Garaged. It cost 5200 plus tyres and so on and is now perfectly run in. I would take 3500. [email protected] or 07973 671773

You selling it?

But you're the only other person I know that had appreciated them. That just leaves me and Thunderbolt, and I have to sell him in 18 months, even though I don't want to.

Well, here's hoping that Woodsman goes to a good home!

You are not the only person to appreciate the Woodsman! I am now on my second (having foolishly sold my first, regretted it almost immediately and then bought another). These bikes are such great fun, especially on B roads and riding either of mine has never failed to put a smile on my face. I put about 12,000 miles on my first and 7,000 so far on my second. Keep the faith!!!

Yes selling it and yes enjoyed it immensely. Buying and restoring a nissen hut on a 2nd WW POW high security camp that is now a community trust owned site and need to free up a bit of cash for the refurb..........
I meant to say we dynod the bike and got 27bhp at the back wheel thanks to the exhaust system and being properly serviced and run in. It has a brand new battery too as a spare. Yes I know, big mistake selling but I am used to that!

more about nissen hut please.

is it a project to restore the camp, or a different cause?

If the others kicj up an 'off topic' fuss, we'll say you park your bike in it!

Only there is a very good recreated WWII army camp at Evesham, Worcestershire. see link below.

Culty-bloody-braggan? Oh you have to be kidding me!

Is the climbing wall still there, the officers mess which was two nissens with a bit in between, those nasty, nasty little wood stoves in the nissen huts that had about as much chance of warming the place up as lighting a candle in an aeroplane hangar,

two watchtowers that were still there from WWII. More nissen huts. Even more nissen huts.

Then you get Loch Lubnaig (spelt from memory) three nice days and nights putting up radio masts and yargi aerials and checking them, then it rained. At that point 1990's it broke the record for most rain in 24 hours. I was out in it putting up tents, and even the waterproof clothing (oxymoron) was soaked. The next morning, the small beach where we have enjoyed a nice bar-be-que a couple of night before had vanished, and the 'cute' small brook was a deafening thundering torrent. Our one piece of luck, is that the road was an old railway line, so at least it was flat!

Bribing the guard, and walking to somewhere (Comrie or Crieff?) down through village, over bridge, PUB! YAY! If they ever mention about some bloody soldier, stealing their decorative plastic decoy pigeon, well, er, next subject.

Some smart twat motorist decided to pull off the motorway at the last minute, pulled in between our convoy causing the landrover and trailer 2 in front of me to brake hard. then the one in front braked and so did I, but too late. By the time I realised how fast he was braking and tried to match, we just slid into the one in front, with their trailer ending up on tor of our FFR radio landrover's bonnet (hood).

Glenturret distillery, YUM! we passed that a few times!

Then there was the two floor concrete bunker all nice red? doors and brand new equipment. even a recording studio! No expense spared there, but I heard it's empty now.

Just checked the website out! It's nice they are doing something with it other than knocking it all down, which is what usually happens.

You moving in, or just restoring the hut?
